While reading this chapter by Bolter about E-Books and electronic digital libraries, I was able to come away with more than just writing knowledge. While I learned that writing today is switching from a more print and text space to a more digital and hypertextual writing space, allowing for greater sharing of information between peers and people alike. With more people turning to devices that allow them to store all of their literature in one place, I also realized that this seems to be a growing trend in general, not just with writing. I wrote earlier in the year that iPods are used to store all (if not most) of ones music in one place, and these E-Books seem to be the iPods of books. But I didn’t learn this from just my prezi on Chapter 5, the prezi about hyperlinks also solidified my understanding that we are turning to a more digital style of writing while attempting to make anything and everything available at once.
